Why University Is Important?

Every year, hundreds of thousands of people with different ages choose to attend university as the next step in their education.

But why? Why do most people prioritize universities? Is it impossible to achieve goals without it?

There are many advantages of studying at university and here in my blog I will count 5 of them. So, let's get started.

Do what you love 

According to a Times Higher Education survey, many people choose to attend university because they are passionate about the subject they study.

University is the place where you can deep dive into a particular subject you are curious about. This will give a motivation to get up early every single day and learn more. It does not matter if it is computer science, economics, film-making or agriculture, the university is the best place to discover your passions.

Develop employable skills

Degrees will not only give students an in-depth understanding of their chosen subject, but also develop their soft skills like presentation, communication, problem-solving, critical thinking, and leadership skills, while improving their ability to work as a team. These are essential for all situations that a person may encounter.

Make friends for life

Some people say that friends from childhood are the best. I agree with that partially. But uni friends are very different from others. Imagine two friends with the same intentions, with the same interests and with the same motivation. They will push, support each other, give precious advice and so on. That would be great, wouldn't it? 

Uni friends are like friends mentioned above. They help each other, they understand the problem you faced and propose solutions according to their experience. In the future your course mates also can be your colleagues as well.

Huge opportunities with university degree

The goal of university is to broaden your horizons, while giving crucial experience to find yourself.

In such a competitive market, gaining a degree can significantly increase your career prospects.

While speaking with many individuals, I figured out that the university degree plays a great role when a person wants to get employed in organizations with high reputation. 

Build self-confidence, independence and responsibility

University can assist students develop their self-esteem and independence. They will have plenty of opportunities to make new friends from various countries and backgrounds. It might be the first time you have lived away from home, or doing your own washing. Living away from home can also foster a greater sense of responsibility.

I can not say that without university an individual cannot achieve their desired goal, but as I mentioned above there are plenty of advantages of attending the university, and it might help a lot in a whole career path.
